Our emotional education stems from Romanticism, from that period that taught us the value of feelings and the importance of our inner selves, as well as the nobility and force of our passions. Dance, our declared and noble profession, moves constantly within the sphere of emotions. When one talks of dance one is inevitably talking about emotions. Our times, known as a period of “uncertainty”, are marked by a break-up in the way we live and express our emotions. Our interior places have become muted and the frontier between public and private has become blurred. The values, which gave us faith in love and noble sentiments, are becoming diluted at different speeds. This piece is our way of staging these feelings of loss, of intimate desolation, at the apparition of reality in the form of a great TV studio, which leaves us with the impression that banality is the only possible solution.
