Letustellyaboutit !
On
any given day in any given school. A group of boys and girls come across some
magic books. New, strange? They tell them wonderful stories, which transport
them to another age, to a time of swords, honour and verses … a time when poets
and dancers served to win hearts.
What
is a counter pass? And an espanoleta? Let us play at imagining that we shall go
to these places and convert ourselves into these valiant knights and beautiful
damsels, of whom we have all dreamt at some time. Play at falling in love, at
fighting against our opponents, at dancing those dances, which makes us spin
around till we fall down with laughter.
Dances
which are the beginning or the end of situations, “created” exclusively so that
a few quixotic characters, or ones from any other chivalrous tale, might stand
out, always considering that their aim should be the “protection of the
helpless”, “freedom”, and why not … “love”.
It must be made clear to
our ingenious spectators that any similarity to reality or fiction is totally
intentional. Our objective for an hour is to provide our madness and eloquence for
the benefit of the boys and girls who dare to accompany us to a world where we
can “… dream like sane people, living like mad ones”.
